Winner of the LDI award for BEST NEW PRODUCT, the ADC ConTour Winch SDR25 is even more amazing than our flagship ConTour Winch.

Similar to the flagship ConTour Winch product, the SDR25 offers reliable, accurate, affordable theatrical automation that operates on Art-Net and is packed with safety features. Where it differs is in its smart data reel, which passes both power AND data down the same lift line, enabling LED effects, chandeliers, moon boxes, automated lights, video tiles, powered speakers or any custom scenic element that needs power and control data.

The ConTour Winch SDR25-25ft Smart Data Reel has a 50lb dynamic load capacity, a travel speed of 0 - 3ft/sec and 25ft (7.6m) of lift-line travel. Its lightweight, compact size allows the ConTour SDR25 to fit in tight rigging packs, or to mount completely within the frame of ADC’s 14” automation truss making truck pack and load in a breeze. For projects where a longer lift line is needed, the SDR50 offers a 45ft lift line option. (Note that the larger diameter yo-yo prevents the 50ft configuration from installing within the ADC Automation Truss.)

The SDR module is fully integrated with the ConTour Winch base unit and can draw 24VDC power and data from the unit directly. For added convenienc, the SDR module also has separate Powercon True 1 and Ethercon inputs and pass through ports. This flexibility allows you to send power and 10/100 ethernet data to the lifted element independent of the winch's power and data network when needed, giving you greater creative control over your projects.

For installations where multiple lift lines are required, the ConTour Winch CDR 25 Companion Data Reel pairs seamlessly with the Smart Data Reel unit. Using the same flat wire profile as the SDR, the CDR maintains consistent lift speeds and motor synchronization without duplicating expensive electronics.

The ConTour Winch SDR25 has been reviewed, approved, and stamped by an independent engineering firm for mechanical design and SIL3 compliance and has certification from internationally recognized testing laboratories to meet standards when used in venues all around the world.
