G. Warren Stiles, An Ohio University MFA Student Receives USITT Young Designers & Technicians 2010 Award for Scenic Design

The YD&T Award in Scenic Design will be given to G. Warren Stiles, a graduate student from Ohio University. The Scenic Design Award is given to graduate students who have demonstrated excellence and talent. The award is sponsored by Rose Brand. These awards bring recognition and support to young designers and technicians at the beginning of their careers, encouraging growth of professionalism within the entertainment industry.

The United States Institute of Theatre Technology recognizes excellence and significant contributions in the performing arts and entertainment industry in areas of design and technology, through a variety of awards. These awards can honor individuals and/or organizations.

Rose Brand has been a sponsor and member of USITT for many years and is firmly committed to encouraging and supporting talented young designers. Peter Monahan, who will present the award for Rose Brand, stated, "As the premiere industry leader in theatrical fabrics, custom creations and productions supplies, Rose Brand has a unique opportunity to provide leadership and support to designers at the beginning of their professional lives. The award was presented at the USITT Stage Conference and Expo in Kansas City, MO on March 31, 2010 at the YD&T Luncheon and Award Ceremony, at the Marriott Downtown.
