Rose Brand Adds Two Key Players to Sales and Technical Teams

Tuesday, February 16, 2016

Jeff Treanor and Evan Rooney both recently joined Rose Brand in the sales and technical departments, respectively.

Jeff came on board as an Outside Sales Representative and knows the Film and Television industry well. He comes to Rose Brand with a diverse background, which includes work with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Warner Hollywood Studios, TMB, and Rosco Laboratories. Roger Claman, Rose Brand’s Vice President of Outside Sales, says, “Jeff’s experience in the industry coupled with his understanding of our customers’ needs and deadlines make him an ideal addition to Rose Brand.” Jeff’s previous experience includes: working closely with dealer networks; supporting crews on film and television sets around the country; and hosting product demonstrations, workshops, and seminars for Cinematographers as well as Cinematography and Set Lighting students at film schools. Jeff is also an Associate Member of the American Society of Cinematographers.

Being part of the Rose Brand family, Jeff is most excited about re-establishing relationships with designers. He says, “They have to have something to light, and if it’s fabric, I want it to be mine. I have had the opportunity to learn from some of the most creative people the industry has to offer. I’m looking forward to being a resource for them again.”

Evan is no stranger to the theatre and production world either. He’s come on board as a Project Manager for the Technical Department at Rose Brand. While studying Technical Direction at University of North Carolina School of the Arts, Evan completed an internship with Rose Brand in 2010. Most recently, he spent 3 years managing and touring with domestic and international tours of Broadway musicals. Prior to that, he worked for Tait Towers, Merry-Go-Round Playhouse, and the Utah Shakespeare Festival.

He’s worked in different aspects of production, but Evan feels most comfortable behind the scenes. After a short performance run on stage, Evan had an epiphany: “I very quickly realized that I enjoyed being backstage much more than being onstage. I’ve been falling down the rabbit hole of tech work ever since.” He is most looking forward to working on the wide variety of projects Rose Brand handles and growing the scope of projects the technical team takes on.
