Producing & Rigging Outdoor Projection Screens
Legendary rock band Phish hosted their 10th Magnaball extravaganza at the racetrack in Watkins Glen, New York. The 40,000 fan sellout event featured music, fun, and multi-media extravaganzas over the course of a 3-day weekend. A centerpiece of the festival was a 175’ wide projection screen rigged to the back of the race track bleachers. Rose Brand Inc. provided the screen, surrounding masking, and installation management.

Preventing Pixelation of Televised Video Wall Projections
Just about everyone is familiar with the "Rememberance" segment of the Academy Awards show, which honors the motion picture industry luminaries, and other notable figures, who had passed away over the last year. The segment is projected from an LED wall as it is broadcast out to viewers. Projection On Scrim
The effect of a scrim heavily depends on the control of stray light. It uses contrast to fool the eye into thinking that the material is opaque. Traditional theatrical scenic scrims are typically lit from a very steep angle so that the light that passes through the scrim falls just upstage or in the wings.
