Net and Mesh Fabrics

We offer a broad range of nettings and mesh fabrics that are designed specifically for theatrical, film and TV production. Lightweight and versatile, the use of these fabrics ranges from special effects to backdrops, from curtains with an ethereal quality to costuming.

Netting and mesh fabrics create fabulous backdrops and special effects. Some are weather resistant for use outdoors, such as Textilene NFR or Textilene IFR. Some nettings have been used in place of scrim. They can also be used to provide stability for cut drops.

Gauze fabrics are often used for dramatic draping, diffusing light, soft looks, and ethereal effects.
Cinenet in a fine bobinette. It’s largely used to reduce light transmission or to create depth and add a soft, hazy look to images. It can also be used in front of rear projection screens to reduce glare.

Kaos, as its name implies, is a wonderfully random, chaotic, sturdy substrate that designers adore. Use as a backdrop or other scenic design element.
