Choosing the Right Projector Screen Material Color

The bright white surface of many of our projector screen materials offers high gain or wide viewing angles, but can be difficult to mask in a dark environment. In many cases, these projection screen fabrics are also available in grey, which strikes an ideal balance between gain, color rendering, contrast ratio, and the ability to hide on a dark stage. Darker-colored projection surfaces increase contrast in your projection but require a brighter projector.

Although primarily used for front projection, certain projector screen materials provide sufficient light transmission for rear projection. The success of rear projection through projection screen fabric is subjective and is influenced by the brightness of the projector, the size of the image, and the customer's expectations. If maximum brightness and image quality are required, we strongly recommend testing your projector screen material to ensure a successful event.
