Details

Firesist™ (a.k.a. Sunbrella) is woven from high UV and fade resistant, solution dyed fiber and backed with a durable urethane/acrylic coating. It has excellent flexibility making it easy to sew. Perfect for outdoor use, it's mildew and fade resistant.

Color: dyed to be extremely resistant to color loss from UV exposure and weathering. Fade resistant to most chemicals including bleach.

Average life span/durability: 5 years
Surface: plain weave, highly water repellant finish
Underside: urethane/acrylic coating
Lighter shades translucent for back-lighting applications
Excellent abrasion resistance
Flexibility in hot and very cold conditions
Ultra-low shrink to eliminate sagging and engineered elasticity for perfect, long-lasting shape retention
Mildew resistance: Excellent with proper maintenance and cleaning
Excellent chemical resistance, sewability
Can be heat sealed using sealing tape and heat source
Flame Resistant Testing: Passes (but not limited to) all of the following: California State Fire Marshal Title 19, NFPA 701-99 (test method II), CPAI-84 (tent walls and roof), FMVSS 302, FAA 25.853 (Aviation), UFAC Upholstered Furniture Class 1
