Fire Stop E84™ is an additive for latex paint that creates a fire retardant barrier on substrates that cannot otherwise be treated.
A single 8 oz. jar treats a full gallon of paint which can be applied to hard scenery, set pieces or staging. Fire Stop E84™ provides a Class A rating with Zero Smoke Development and Zero Flame Spread! (when applied properly, and tested according to ASTM E-84). Will not alter paint-ability beyond a slight dilution of the paint. Will not corrode or tarnish metallic paints. Will not yellow finished film. A minimum 2 mil paint film must develop for proper effectiveness. Use 8oz of Fire Stop per 1 gallon of paint.
