ConTour™ Winch SDR Trapeze

The ConTour SDR Trapeze Winch is the dual lift line version of the ConTour Smart Data Reel. It is a professional grade, zero fleet, spotline winch designed with an emphasis on safety and ease of use. Use it when you need accurate, reliable, safe automation of curtains, props, lightweight scenery and special effects. The ConTour SDR Winch has a 50 lb. dynamic load capacity, a travel speed of 0 - 3 ft/sec and 25 feet of lift-line travel with the Standard Contour SDR, and up to 50 feet of lift line travel with the Contour SDR 50.  Its lightweight, compact size allows the ConTour SDR to fit in tight rigging packs, or to mount completely within the frame of ADC’s 14 inch automation truss making truck pack and load in a breeze. The ConTour SDR Winch can be controlled via a variety of protocols including Modbus, DMX via Art-Net or sACN or via Axis1, ADC’s programmable touchscreen controller.


The heart of the Contour SDR Winch’s design is ADC’s patented yo-yo drum mated to a flat silicon rubber Cicoil™ Flexx-Sil™ anti-friction lift line containing two 1/16 inch, load bearing 7x7 wire ropes, made of 304 stainless steel, tinned 18 AWG conductors for AC, and twisted pair for data.  V3/Gen.3 winches have four twisted pair for gigabit data, prior versions have two twisted pair. The Cicoil™ lift line connects to the SDR data box which sends both AC power and data down the lift line for power and control of lighting or other scenic elements.
